Ich habe mich vorhin mit meiner Nachbarin gestritten, die der Meinung ist, eigentlich ganz gut englisch zu können.
Wir sprachen über die Floskel "By the way", und im gleichen Zusammenhang viel der Begriff "By the by".
Doch was bedeutet diese Redewendung, bzw. in welchen englischen Regionen verwendet man sie?

Ein gutes Wörterbuch hilt, z. B. dieses hier de.pons.com/%C3%BCbersetzung?q=by+the+by&l=deen&in=&lf=de

Das ist einfach nur eine sehr umgangssprachliche art und weise "by the way" zu sagen, allerdins wird es kaum genutzt und hört sich auch einfach nur extrem dumm an. Den ausdruck am besten vermeiden.

Wäre super wenn mir hier jemand die genaue vorgehensweise erklärt, wie man solche Sätze umformt, was genau von der Aufgabenstellung gewünscht wird und wo ich bei der Umformung ansetzen muss!

1.) Replace the participle by a relative clause
- The death rate of those trying to cross has increased.
- Lösung:. of those who try to cross.


2.) Replace the participle by a different construction
- Cash registers powered by rooftop wind turbines will be part of Tesco's new ecostores
- Lösung: Cash register's which are powered by.

Kann mir bitte jemand helfen - ich muss einen Test nach den Ferien schreiben und hab nicht mal einen Ansatz wie ich vorgehen muss

Im Fall 1) wurde trying = Partizip im Praesens zur Verkuerzung des Satzes benutzt. Eine Konstruktion, die im Engl. sehr haeufig vorkommt. Du sollst die lange Version schreiben. Deshalb who try to cross. Ist auch im Aktiv geschrieben.
Im Fall 2) wurde powered benutzt = Partizip Perfekt, um den Satz zu verkuerzen. Und deshalb die lange Version: which are powered by
ist eine Passivkonstruktion

Wollte mal fragen was Michael Jackson am Ende des Liedes sagt, dass wurde auch bei der Trauerfeier engespielt.

stimmt, habs verwechselt. denn bei der trauerfeier haben sie unter anderen "will you be there" gesungen und am ende dieses liedes haben sie dann den von michael jackson gesprochenen part gespielt.

Ich muss in Englisch zu der Story "The Kiss" von Rosie Rushton ein Ende schreiben, mir fällt dazu aber nix ein. Kennt jemand diese Story und kann mir helfen?

also es ist am ende so dass sich shelby und chris an dem vereinbarten ort treffen. als shelby ihn dann anschreit dass er sich endlich verteidigen solle ,beugt er sich zu ihr und will sie küssen. daraufhin schaut sie total geschockt und schreit Move!, schuckt in auf die seite und versucht den feuerkörper =firework ,welche die gang angezündet hat mit ihren händen auf er schreit nurr Noooo! ein Schelm, der denkt, du könntest "On the Bridge" womöglich gar nicht gelesen haben
Wenn doch solltest du Seth und Adam doch charakterisieren können. Wenn nicht, solltest du das nachholen, damit du im Unterricht oder auch in der Englischarbeit mitreden kannst.
Ansonsten kenne ich das so, dass man das mit eine/n Klassen-/Kurskameraden/in oder einer/m Schulfreund/in t und dann gleich mit ihr/m zusammen Hausaufgaben macht oder lernt.

Das macht doch eh mehr Spaß als alleine und dabei kann doch trotzdem jede/r ihren/seine eigene Zusammenfassung schreiben!
Oder man bildet Lerngruppen, in denen man sich gegenseitig hilft und unterstützt; z.T. auch 'fachübergreifend', so dass z.B. 'Mathe-Asse', 'Englisch-Assen' in Mathe auf die Sprünge helfen und umgekehrt.

Move from the outward features to the inward features/nature when writing your characterization. Do not forget to work with the text by using text reference and give examples for your findings, especially when you are working on the last four categories mentioned above.
Basically present tense is used in characterizations.
